The School of Nursing at PUCESD trains highly qualified professionals with a holistic approach, developing socio-emotional, ethical, cognitive, and practical competencies, with a vocation for service and a commitment to academic excellence. Its objective is to prepare professionals capable of working in clinical, teaching, administrative, and research settings, responding to the biopsychosocial nursing care needs of individuals, families, and communities in all areas of care.

The School trains nursing professionals to provide comprehensive and safe care with a scientific, technical, humanistic, ethical, intercultural, and gender-sensitive approach, through the application of the nursing process. This training contributes to health promotion, disease prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and dignified end-of-life care, relevant to the national context, within the framework of the Buen Vivir (Good Living) policy, international health trends, and in harmony with the environment.
