To train nursing professionals with scientific, ethical, and humanistic knowledge who, together with the development of critical and reflective thinking, guarantee the current and future health of the Ecuadorian population at each stage of their life cycle, in the biopsychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and environmental spheres, through specific actions of promotion and development to help them maintain their health, and of healing and rehabilitation to contribute to their recovery, using the nursing process as a methodology for safe care, as a basis for research, as evidence of care practices consistent with nursing models, and ensuring the continuity and innovation of care in interaction with other members of the health team.
